It's more of a question as to where are anemones NOT found? From the underside of ice in Antarctica and deep sea thermal vents to being fully exposed intertidal and buried in low salinity estuaries. Anemones are everywhere they want to be!

The key thing is, we all come with some idea of what the job market looks like & what PUI expectations are. Coming from an R1 it may seem like there's no future at the moment, but I pursued this alternative path 8 years ago & am enjoying my position/institution. I'm happy to help w/questions. (5/5)

Yes, it's a lot of teaching, but at a small PUI engaged teaching is different than your typical lecture style. Students do impactful projects, things that are publishable. We emphasize hands on training and have the infrastructure and class size to do it. Happy to answer any ?'s anyone has (4/5).

Since starting here in 2018 I have been able to grow the largest research group on campus, have been competitive for (small) grants, and enjoy working with my co-workers. I get to take students to exciting international destinations as part of their coursework, conferences, & out in the field. (3/5)

Back in 2018 (1st term) I found an institution that supported undergrad research & built research funding in the annual budget. I knew was taking a risk, but many PUIs do this.

I was afraid the 1st term would look like what we see now. Thankfully it didn't, but unfortunately it's happening (2/5)

Thank you for your continued guidance and communication through my grant submission process. Your assistance meant so much, I truly couldn't have figured it out without you. Who knows where it will go from here, or even if it will be reviewed, but I couldn't have done it without you. THANK YOU!
