This morning we held our second Glasgow Caledonian University Festival of Education, an online event focusing on preparing for the upcoming academic year. It was great to facilitate a couple of the breakout sessions and see some of the ideas colleagues were sharing.

Glad to be getting our Blackboard Ultra drop-in sessions up and running for volunteer testers and to include a little Gàidhlig on one of our posters.

I might not have much Gàidhlig, but I will use the little bits I have at work.

Glasgow Mid Argyll and Kyles Athletic continued their preperation for the 2025 season this afternoon. It finished 2-2 at Peterson Park earlier in a chilly pre-season friendly between the two.

Catching up on some photos from the Jack Ashers Sixes tournament a couple of weeks ago. A really enjoyable day of shinty with more than 200 players and 35 teams competing on the day.

An unexpected sight while checking the room before a workshop today. Thankfully not a bad omen. Tom Cunningham and I had an enjoyable workshop with colleagues in the GCU School of Health and Life Sciences.

Excellent turnout and some interesting discussions about learning, teaching and AI.

Back to work tomorrow after two weeks off. Getting the chance to watch Travis the bearded collie at one of his regular sheep herding classes was a highlight of the time off, but it is back to normal tomorrow.

Hopefully the flurry of emails tomorrow morning will be kind.
