In this day and age, you have to find your joy where you can. This greets me each time I go down to the dreary basement. There's about a dozen geraniums, a begonia, bay, hibiscus, montevilla, and a few others. I winter them over each year. I've got carrots started in a grow pot right in the middle.

Made a butterscotch pie to go with Christmas dinner. It's the 1st time I ever made meringue for a pie.
