The rise of AI narration isn’t innovation. It’s erasure.

Listeners notice the difference. They feel it.

Let’s make sure the world still hears the sound of being human.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Lanham, voice of Hearts of Glass: Living in the Real World!

Narrating this story was a blast with all its '80s vibes, raw emotion, and punk spirit. I can’t wait for you to meet Ford, Cassie, and Jenny. Sneak peeks coming soon!

I didn't think I'd make it to the eVOCation Conference this year, but thanks to Jennifer Sun Bell's (@jennifersunbell.bsky.social) generosity in sponsoring my scholarship, I'll be there!

So grateful to her, Carin Gilfry, and Jamie Muffett for making it possible. Can't wait!

Here are two of mine from when the void kitten arrived. Milani was not having it (1st pic)

Willow was not going to take no for an answer.

2nd Pic was about an hour later. 😂

4 things people believe about hiring a pro VO (that are false):

- too expensive
- AI voices are just as good
- Hiring is complicated
- A pro VO is too busy for my small project

Hiring a VO artist is actually quite simple if you go with a pro, every time!

Also, please #hirehuman

Turns out, people still like learning from people.

A study found that learners did better when they listened to a real human voice vs AI.

A real voice keeps you engaged. A robot voice makes you zone out.

Link to the study in comments ⬇️ if you want to check it out.

It’s World Book Day, and I just want to say:

Books are amazing.

Audiobooks? Even better.

Books that I’ve narrated myself? 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Seriously though, whether you read with 👀or 👂 books are still one of the best ways to slow down and really listen.

So Happy World Book Day!

Are your eLearners tuning out? You’ve got:

Stunning visuals ✅
Engaging design ✅

...but without the right voiceover, something’s missing. 🎙️

A great voice builds connection, improves comprehension, and keeps learners engaged. It’s time to give your learners something worth listening to!

Day 1 of 365.

It’s time to take that first step, even if it’s small.

Whatever this year holds for you, I hope it’s filled with moments that inspire you, challenge you, and remind you just how strong and capable you are.

Let’s make 2025 a great one!
