I had a fantastic time at William & Mary’s Global Research Institute. Thanks to @ryanamusto.bsky.social for the invitation to talk to his students about Latin America’s role in the global nuclear order.

On Monday, I had a great time presenting at ITAM. This was my first time discussing my research in Mexico since I started my PhD. I'm very grateful for the invitation to talk at the International Studies Department's seminar about my work on Latin America's contributions to the Global Nuclear Order.

I had a fascinating time at the United Nations Headquarters in New York yesterday. I talked about the future of arms control at a side event organized by @chathamhouse.org for the NPT PrepCom. I really enjoyed witnessing the Treaty review process in action!

I had a very interesting couple of days at Princeton discussing the prospects for the international order. Paradoxically, Latin America might be better equipped to deal with the current uncertainty than I first thought. Thanks to the Reimagining World Order team for the invitation!

Happy Treaty of Tlatelolco anniversary! It's been 58 years since Latin America opened for signatures this treaty renouncing nuclear in the region.

My friend and co-author, @dr-mendenhall.bsky.social, got an award today for the organization promoting that treaty, @opanal.bsky.social.

I came to this country 10 years ago looking for an education and, along the way, found family and friends. This gringo home has grown with me as my Mexican home has walked beside me from afar. After years of living in the U.S., and years in the immigration labyrinth, I’m Mexican American.

It's been great to be back at @wiltonpark.bsky.social! I'm looking forward to what promises to be very interesting conversations on how to support NPT diplomacy towards the 2026 Review Conference.
