Also, this means passenger can't use their phones either? Oh darn.. might have to pretend it's the 1900s for a minute.

Do need a way to unlock on transit though... Need someone tech savvy to think this all through. But I am confident we have the technology.

Phone companies must force phones locked (except 911) while moving more than 10 mph (exception for airplane speed?). Like the doors of the car auto-lock. Sure.. some will figure out ways around it, but make them put in the effort (and make that gross negligence in the civil suits if they do).

His apparent habit of subjecting students to sexual harassment could certainly have subjected his employer to civil liability, if they are determined to ignore his despicable behavior in favor of "is it legal."

I know Bove is the priority, but if this guy doesn't leave the bench in the near future, can we add him to the impeachment list? This is... really something.

There's no benefit to failing to indict. This is incompetence, proving they can be both evil AND stupid.

Bar companies from allowing users to submit pictures of people for AI processing without first submitting notarized consent forms and contracts.

It's a fine article with a headline that's a bit much. Yes, almost no one keeps a mortgage for 50 years, but if home ownership is meant to build wealth in the middle class rather than in banks, shouldn't we be talking about interest rates?

Unless it ended with a "hiiiii-yaaa!" and trump taking a blow to the head, it was verifiably not her.

He's such a misogynistic prick.

Ms. Piggy (the one and only) would kick his ass, for the record.

At least make them get enough insurance (not just more expensive insurance) to cover the average wrongful death settlement of a kindergartner on her way to school.

"Racial profiling" and "kavanaugh stop" definitely need more use.

This is exactly right. We've let them get away with so much it includes raping kids. Time to shut down the oligarchy and invest in real people, etc. This isn't rocket science.

Wow.
November 15, 2025 at 8:10 PM
So.. do they have a whole bunch of these or do they somehow get the same one back every time it is taken down? I'm impressed either way.

There needs to be federal taxpayer standing. Structure it to mitigate against crazy plaintiffs (as one must), but these kinds of abuses are insane.

I think she meant barely pubescent.

Possibly, but if the ride is already so long and/or uphill, etc, that the grown up is using an ebike, does the kid get an ebike? Or are adults using ebikes because of the weight of kids?

I can get my kid to school by car in 10, by (anolog) bike in 20. If she rides her bike? It will take an hour.

What y'all doing when they get too big or "too cool" to sit on the back?

When I became a lawyer and was around truly wealthy people for the first time in my life, it was quite the culture shock. And I'm talking Phoenix rich. I can't imagine international rich. Money does strange things to people.

These stories are the reason people reacted the way they did when that United executive was killed. Everyone hates the insurance companies. We don't have better health care because they oppose it. We need to get them and their money out of politics and pass what *voters* want.
