The unchecked influence of unelected billionaires over government functions is an affront to democratic governance.
It is past time for you to act in defense of our institutions. Stop approving Trump’s nominees. Assert Congress’s authority over appropriations.

Additionally, the public overwhelmingly disapproves of Elon Musk unilaterally shutting down federal programs he deems unnecessary, by a margin of 52% to 26%. An even larger majority, 63%, is concerned about his team’s access to their data.

Approving Trump’s nominees, allowing the misuse of appropriations, and tolerating the firing of officials who uphold the rule of law are unacceptable. Congress, not the executive branch, determines how taxpayer money is spent. Demand that appropriations be used as intended.

A majority, 57%, believe he has exceeded his authority as president. He has no mandate.
Your duty is to uphold the Constitution, not to enable a demagogue. Your constituents are watching, and they are not pleased with your capitulation.
