The proposal mentioned in this article request efficiency dividends in a workforce where 30% positions were unfilled. And the author of the proposals was Phil Minns, brother of NSW Premier, Chris Minns.

The NSW Health directive to locum agencies was they could offer up to $3050/day. Given there’s a 20% commission to the agency, this means it may cost NSW taxpayers up to $3660/day. That’s much more than Staff Specialists earn.
