Even better is when insurance tells a Dr which meds they can prescribe. I’ve had insurance deny a drug for my son bc we hadn’t tried removing his spleen first. They denied pancreatic enzymes bc they aren’t “medically necessary”. Obviously the Dr just thought it would be a fun addition to his day.

It’s like we shouldn’t be firing live ammunitions over people that we aren’t intending to harm.

But also, I feel the need to point out that moving from peaceful protest to “violent revolt” doesn’t have to mean killing people. Pushing back against a police line, throwing a sandwich, destruction of property…have all been used historically in resisting tyranny without hurting people.

History is littered with examples of peaceful resistance that eventually turned violent before real change was achieved. Do I want this? NO. I just think that the French Revolutionaries and the American Revolutionaries, and many many others would argue that their uprisings were the answer.

Rarely in history has true political change come about without a citizen uprising, particularly when the disparity between those in power and the citizenry is as large as it is currently. You don’t defeat authoritarianism with a hearty debate.

Never the answer? Really? A great majority, if not all ,of the free world would not exist if not for political violence. What do we think the Revolutionary War was, a big peaceful protest?

It’s a weak man that needs to control another person in order to feel like a man.

I don’t know. Laughing at the wannabe dictator, who can’t even string together a coherent sentence, kind of diminishes his perceived power. I think the posts being funny is a major part of the point.

The party that loved to call everyone that disagreed with them a “snowflake” sure is behaving like a snowflake.

And the meltdowns are very funny to watch.

And as floods, wildfires, massive hurricanes, stronger tornados, and increased temperatures result in reduced crop productions and less meat and dairy, we will also get to absorb the food insecurity. /end

It’s you and I, however, that get to absorb the effects of ignoring the science. We are the ones eating produce watered with water contaminated with microplastics. We eat the fish that swam in coal ash contaminated waters. We live with an increased incidence of asthma from the polluted air. 7/

If we’re honest with ourselves , we would drop the idea that a company’s profit margin is more important than the workers or our populace as a whole. We wouldn’t buy into the idea that a trickle is enough, when the workers should be getting a steady flowing stream of benefit from their work. 6/

The only harm that is that some corporation makes a smaller profit. A CEO has 1 less private jet. Although, ideally, we would stop paying to subsidize a dying market and would just let the fossil fuel industry finally fold Let’s not pretend that any of those profits are trickling down to us pions 5/

But also, even if all of the climate scientists in the world were lying, what is the actual harm in producing less greenhouse gases? What is the harm in reducing pollution, using renewables, moving towards green energies that we can produce in our own country? 4/
July 24, 2025 at 11:44 PM
Believing that hundreds of scientists across the globe have been working together to create false evidence of climate change for decades and that the only ones telling you the truth are the talking heads that get paid to create controversy is some pretty cool mental gymnastics.3/
July 24, 2025 at 11:44 PM
Just as he spent his first term mindlessly overturning everything that Obama did, he’s now determined to undo everything Biden did.

And we get to suffer the consequences. Not believing in climate change doesn’t make it any less real. 2/

Sorry bud. If you think that you didn’t vote for this, you weren’t paying attention and/or were misinformed. No one who was paying attention is surprised by what is happening.
