I buy two used refurbished 2TB HDDs for my first DIY NAS. Both look almost new—only 3 and 6 hours power-on time. I set up a ZFS mirror pool, dump 500GB of data, and test file access. Everything seems fine so far, but maybe it’s too early to say.
