Let’s be honest Anti-DEI is simply racism/sexism/every-other-ism there is. It’s basically white revenge fantasy, and it’s now being enacted in real life. And we are ALL suffering… even the white people it’s pretending to “save”!

If this isn’t an indication that the Trump administration is missing the plot, I’m not sure what is! Anti-DEI isn’t about putting competency over diversity, it never has been. (Look at the people he’s been hiring to replace the so-called “DEI Hires”, they’re actually LESS qualified on the whole).

Also, somewhat related to this, everyone should go watch "A Real Pain" on Hulu. It's really quite good! And the entire score is Chopin piano music.

We have a similarly horrible past with slavery. Instead of canceling Black History Month, we should be celebrating it more than ever and building more memorials and sacred sites to honor the people that suffered through that. Germans have proven that if you remember the past, you don't repeat it.

We visited Dachau in Berlin in 2019. It was sobering, yet incredibly heartening to know how much reverence the German people have towards the Jewish people now, and just how deeply they don't want to ever let that happen again.

Indeed, I WAS wondering that. Loffredo is a similarly common yet not that common surname as well. When I hear of another Loffredo, I do wonder if we’re distant cousins. And just like Mangione, there is a concentration of Loffredo’s in the specific region of Italy where my grandfather came from.

The dates of the calendar may be arbitrary but the seasons being delineated by the solstices and the equinoxes isn’t! Soooo… yeah… I stand by my statement, and this winter-like late fall weather can bite me! lol
