We need more fun jingles and beeps on transit signifying things. It was one of my favorite things about traveling around on trains in Japan, and it's not like it's especially hard to replicate.

The ALP-45 heritage units look bad. The black bars interrupting the sides and the front are bad enough, but then the lines don't even line up between them.

In the US they were originally given out with the lowest numbers going to the most important cities since they're quickest to put into a rotary dial. Larger numbers have been tacked on as the original area codes have run dry in some places.

This is reminding me of a time in Pittsburgh an operator kept failing to close the doors cause it was clipping some concrete at the back end of the platform, I had to run up and tell them.
