I feel like I finally fully comprehend the parenting advice about natural consequences with this story….

He believes his followers are too dumb to even be sycophants. No one has a lower opinion of MAGA supporters than Donald Trump.

To be fair, for the math to work, some of the people who said they found it “exciting” (42%) also described it as “scary” (59%). I had some follow-up questions for that group…

When I first started working and had only been out of law school a few months, I ended up on a plane next to Eddie Sisk. I wasn’t from Tennessee and had no clue who he was, but he told me about his career and incarceration. He said to never let ambition compromise you. It was wild.

Every time I look into it, it feels a little overwhelming but do think you’re right.

I think I am generally struggling with what to do with this knowledge. Is there anything left to fight for or is it just too far gone? Do you try to leave? I honestly don’t know.

I guess our daughter will be a Harpeth Hall Honeybear after all.

Literally the only reason we live in Williamson County is for the schools.

Legitimate question here — where are you shopping? We live in the suburbs and rely on grocery delivery from WF and Target’s curbside. I’d love to switch but am having trouble figuring out a good replacement.

For context for people who don’t regularly deal with the IRS, wait times are already generally 1-2 hours, and it is pretty common to receive a message that there are already too many people in the queue and to call back another day.

I don’t do litigation, so I defer to the litigators….but I think you’d have a standing issue while everyone figures out what is going on. Essentially, who has suffered what actual harm.

A family at my daughter’s daycare drove Tesla SUVs. The day after the Sieg Heil, they showed up in Rivians. I’ve never wanted to befriend two random parents more.

Sure. He’s completely amoral and transactional. He has no friends. He only has people who are beneficial to him and those who are not. America has elected a leader completely lacking in character. Again.

Very much same.

And to think….this backbencher never should have had a seat. He is the rep for the district TN Republicans gerrymandered to eliminate representation for Nashville. And just look at him now…under investigation by the FBI and kickstarting Trump’s next campaign.

I think it can be challenging to change jobs quickly, particularly depending on education and skill set. If you actively seek employment there right now, I have follow-up questions. But if the person has been working there, I understand not everyone has the luxury of resigning without a plan.

Although I understand your point, my husband is Jewish, so by extension my daughter is also part Jewish. Our city’s JCC had an intruder last week who is affiliated with the neo-Nazi Goyim Defense League. It matters to us. The J6 pardons also matter. It’s going to be a dark 4 years.

I will also add, though, that I’m so glad you’re continuing to do the focus groups as maddening as it is. So great episode?

This is so not the main point…but salad is absolutely not $8 a bag. I buy an insane amount of organic lettuce from WF, and even the largest size is nowhere close to that. But people truly make me lose my mind on inflation in general because they absolutely do not understand how it works.
