Amazing trip to Perdue Sociology. For those interested in studying religion(@asareligion.bsky.social), this is one of the best places to go! Curious & supportive scholars who care about pedagogy & research in a big and growing department. And one of the best places to give talks! A gem for sure.

Briefly back at the Indy airport and while it’s comforting to be at a familiar airport that once signaled almost home— some things have changed for the better.

And giving a talk on The Loyalty Trap tomorrow afternoon at Purdue for those nearby!

Resistance is growing to proposed alum shale mine in Oviken, Sweden, the 2nd largest uranium deposit in the world. Residents are worried about the mine damaging water quality. Over a thousand people at the biggest protest I’ve seen in Jämtland.

employees during Trump 1.0, I found appointees piloting these leadership approaches in the most politicized parts of the govt. Importantly gov employees reported how this kind of toxic leadership, alongside poor communication & lacking expert knowledge among decisionmakers, led to org decline. 2/3
