I guess it was more important for Schumer to get those military spending bills approved than protect our access to healthcare.

He's right, though. But it's not because they want to get government employees back to work. It's because if Congress isn't in session, those military spending bills can't move forward.

American here, 100% agree. In fact y'all should stop all diplomatic relations and economic trade with us as well. We need to be completely cut off. It might be the only way to force us to pull our heads out of our arses.

It's not a matter of failing to hold the caucus together. He just didn't want to. He is getting paid well to capitulate. He needs to get the government back to the business of approving military aid bills.
