I agree we need to pay for stuff. But the rumoured proposals were so shit. No tax reform, nothing to reduce the inequality between wealth and income.

I don't think it ever has been, it's just a hard reality of fptp. That reality is going to really bite when a minority party gets a political majority at the next election.

But without a profit incentive, investment in new medicines would be reduced and discovery of new drugs and treatment would be slowed or stopped.
Do drug companies charge too much, yes sometimes. But medical patents don't last long and generic versions are made.
