Can someone with federal legal experience explain to me how Ed Martin, as the interim US Attorney for the District of Columbia is issuing these letters to entities not located in DC, such as Wiki located in San Francisco? I believed US attorneys acted within their communities? Incorrect?

The citation was issued on 1/31/25. I expect that citation will either be dismissed or reduced from a Serious violation to an Other (than Serious) violation. The fine will also likely be withdrawn. I am surprised that OSHA allowed the investigator to issue them, frankly.
