A forest, a heatland/raised bog, a farm, two school yards and the university campus, our own data collecting for #EcoFracNet has been very successful so far!

Microclimate buffering of climate change can buy us time, but it's not an argument to maintain the status quo!

Very happy to be in the jury of the PhD of Stef Haesen, which was highly informative, interesting and inspiring!

Earlier I reported on the battle between X, LinkedIn and Mastodon (the3dlab.org/2023/10/23/h...).

Mastodon lost disastrously, so now a new fighter has entered the game: Bluesky.

First results:
- Bluesky is showing (some) promise
- LinkedIn is still a solid second
- X remains ahead!

Turns out slowing down to the rhythm of a newborn is giving me one great scientific idea after another. Science does not only happen at the office, people!

I have a weak spot for master students approaching me with their own project idea, so now we'll be studying the impact of rock climbing on rock vegetation next year, and I love it!
