I know Alan Moore hasn't been happy about the comic book industry for more than 30 years. I did read an interview with him years ago. Moore said he was disappointed to see a medium that had once entertained children become more adult - and expensive.

Why Alan Moore Regrets Writing His Most Iconic Batman Comic
In 1988, Alan Moore changed Batman forever when he released his seminal graphic novel The Killing Joke. What many don't know is that he regrets it.

Finally picked up The Avengers #201 (November 1980). It's a day-in-the-life story with a little action. It's also the last issue George Perez did in the 80s.

One of my favourite comic book series is coming to the screens large and small. "Something Is Killing The Children" is an action-horror story of a monster hunter struggling to protect children from monsters both supernatural and human.

Absolute Batman is my favourite Batman series. Thank you Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta.

I bought the Deadpool/Batman one-shot last week. Frank Miller revisits Wolverine and Batman in the final story. If you've read the blog, you know I'm a fan. I can't really bring myself to say how I feel about Miller's work here. I'll let it speak for itself.

I'll have to find Alex Toth's work in the back issues bins of my LCS.

Batman #1 is a perfect jumping-on point for new readers. Mark Fraction and Jorge Jimenez bring bat the grey and blue with familiar faces. It's really good, but the Bat-book for me is Absolute Batman.

If you're looking for comic book classics, head over to Nefarious Comics. Found New Teen Titans #13 in the back issues bins. It starts the second year of Marv Wolfman and George Perez's incomparable run on the series.

Marvel put the Punisher red band variant in a polybag. Comic book fans, being comic book fans, have asked the question, "Do I open it?". I plan on opening mine because I read comic books, putting more value in the story, art, and rarity. The value will invariably spike, but long-term will level off.

Marvel used to have great annuals. Hulk Annual #7 is a stand-alone, actioner with the Hulk and the X-Men's Angel and Iceman. Roger Stern wrote it. John Byrne and Bob Layton teamed up for the art. Comic book greatness.
