I like trying to solve challenging problems about important issues. Focus on education, maps and #rstats. I want to listen more than I talk.
This is a great resource. I learn something new from it every week. Happy to be a subscriber!

If you’re using ggplot and sf to make the maps (using geom_sf), assembling the resulting output using the patchwork package is simple. It’s also easy to combine legends, titles and other elements. patchwork.data-imaginist.com
The Composer of Plots
The ggplot2 package provides a strong API for sequentially building up a plot, but does not concern itself with composition of multiple plots. patchwork is a package that expands the API to allow for ...

“Guess How Much I Love You” still wrecks me. My youngest is 14. The older three are all adults (-ish). “I love up to the moon and back” still doesn’t get it all. I’m crying now as I think of it.

Because as a friend of mine described it, F1 is “the most mean girl sport ever”. There was a huge event to showcase (mostly unchanged) livery. I love it, but there are parts that are just silly.

The answer was always “NO.” None of the nominees have met the required standards. You have sold out all of us who voted for you. Have a nice primary, if we get there.

The tools available though open route service might be what you’re looking for. I’ve used the plugin for QGIS, and there is also a Python library available. Might be worth a try openrouteservice.org

I too am grateful for all of the open source tools we have available and those who work on building them. I write #rstats code every day (not as much geo as I’d like, but I’m working on it) and have done things with #QGIS and #PostGIS that solved big problems quickly. Great tools! #gischat

“…only up to 60 percent of the data surveyed can be considered precise.” That’s enough to find patterns and cause real problems.

If you think that there is any chance that this will be longitudinal data (what do they think this year?), be thoughtful about identifying columns so that comparing responses year over year becomes easier. Also, you’ll only need to add to your data dictionary in the future, not rewrite it entirely.
