Sooooo ... London Trans+ Pride.
There were over 100,000 attendees, making it the largest Trans Pride event ever, in the whole world, and it happened in London, our capital city.
It started INFRONT of BBCs London HQ.
They were informed WAY in advance.
They choose to silence us.

BBC news currently has no article on this. According to organisers, it broke their own records by far and was the biggest trans rights events in the world.
Otoh the BBC does have coverage of far right anti-refugee protests which were much, much, smaller.

I talked for a solid 20 minutes about Westerns this morning, and people smiled and clapped. That'll be my last #scms for the foreseeable. I've loved this conference for many years, I just can't justify the cost anymore now that I don't get funding. Good times. Good friends. No regrets 💕

8 years ago I went to Chicago for the first time (for the @scmstudies.bsky.social conference). In a week's time I'll be back again. Likely to be my last appearance because my professional role has changed, so it's going to be both wonderful and a little sad. Picture of the marvellous Picasso 💕

I wholeheartedly recommend the Holly Johnson Story at The Museum of Liverpool 🌈 It seems like only a corner of the Museum but, if you listen to the recordings of interviews and testimonials, there's a lot going on ✊️

Each weekday morning, I get to the university early and head to the library. I'll write or research for around 45 minutes, then cross campus to do the day job. Despite the hubbub of the ground floor of the library, I've found I'm able to zone much of it out while I work.
