I had my 15 year old cat, Roosevelt, put down yesterday. He had made it clear it was time over the last week or so. He had been in some form of decline for the past 2 years, though it hadn't been a linear process. I had just told my boyfriend 2 weeks ago that he had at least another 8-12 months.
A black and white tuxedo cat name Roosevelt, sitting on the cushions of a couch, looking straight at the camera. Roosevelt has a small white mustache, and a chest of white fur. He has his right foot stuck out, revealing that he has a white sock. Roosevelt is completely stretched out, laying on his back, completely relaxed on the floor. His is rolled up against a mirror with one paw stretched out and placed on the mirror, maybe looking at himself. Beside him is an oil-based heater. He has wedged himself between the heater and the mirror and seems to be very content. Roosevelt is sitting center frame on the floor, with a yogurt cup stuck to his face. He is looking off to the side past the photographer. Roosevelt is sitting in his cat tree in front of a window. He is wearing a small black witch's hat, and looks somewhat annoyed. Behind him in the window is a view of Portland from high up. The sky is grey and overcast, and the trees' leaves are turning a mix of red and gold.

Test run in the baby bjorn. He didn't really freak out after I let him mess with it awhile first.
