5.) WE VOTED NO and were sued to high heaven. Our small community did not have the resources or knowledge, both financial and legal, to fight this meaningfully and it now is on a grassroots effort to apply public pressure while 2 separate motions have been filed by environ. and consumer advoc. grps

4.) This will be DTE's largest customer. The proposed energy usage is equivalent to 25% of the portion of the grid the property sits on and will comprise 10% of DTE's entire service area (in terms of usage).

3.) This will disrupt our rural life in unimagineable ways. Water usage, electricity usage, noise and light pollution, and the destruction of farmlands for industry are all top of mind for our community.

This is deeply concerning for many reasons. 1.) MPSC is entangled with the utility company in some distrubing ways. We have no guarantee that these backdoor processes will serve the people and feel sure they won't. 2.) Our Attorney General Dana Nessel has expressed her own doubt in the MPSC process.

I met Amber at a gathering of intentional communities in the Ohio River Valley last year (and bumped into her again this year) and had good conversations with her. Glad to see her published and looking forward to giving this a read.

I don’t want to be needlessly critical—protest is good—but we’re not arguing policy we don’t like anymore; we are living through military occupations, kidnappings, and neo-McCarthyism. I agree, “no kings!” but what does that MEAN? No one has answered this so far. #nokings

it is asking a lot for folks to continually come out to protests that seem to lack direction, whose organizers are unknown, and whose vision is unclear. this seems like the women’s march all over again and we honestly don’t have time for this shit.
