Small counterpoint. My 22 year old daughter just read _A Canticle for Liebowitz_ and said it was the best sci/fi she's read this year. And, she just finished reading a ton of Gene Wolfe, and also loves that. Sometimes the classics are classics for a reason. :)

My kids don't believe they exist. I grew up in Ohio and it makes me sad they've never seen them here in the PNW (Oregon)

Just from my experience, but Shadowdark also relies tremendously on improv, since "rulings over rules" requires the GM to make stuff up on the fly continually. Really stretches my brain every game I run.

OCR + RAG is actually one of the solid, well-understood uses for modern AI. As long as you get citations and can read the original docs alongside the summaries, A+.
