I first read the Uncertain Sanctuary books- still a favorite. I just finished reading the Space Deputy series and an audiobook reread of the Xeno-Archaeologist and The Delphic Dame series- all excellent! I love that her books feature competent, kind people working together-such a balm for the times!

A few of my favorite reads last year -Academy of the Dead and The Fey Hotel by Vermilion Baine -slightly dark, contemp romantasy, w/great banter
Empire of Shadows and Tomb of the Sun King by Jacquelyn Benson (the audiobooks were also great)- Amelia Peabody meets Indiana Jones with magic -so good!

I loved The Wolves of Willoughby Chase as a kid and read it with my daughter’s book club. My favorites of hers, though, are the Armitage magical short stories in The Serial Garden.

I got my first computer when I was writing my graduate thesis. I did all the data entry and analysis on a mainframe computer in a different building.
