Had to contact social security a week ago. Was placed on hold for 4 hours. It was the only way possible to make an in-person appointment. Once connected, I thanked the employee profusely and told her they all have my support. I think we all need to be extra kind to federal staffers-especially now.

Graduate-level words? You must mean middle school or high school graduate level (I hope). Both 'acquiesce' and 'fortitude' are common words. Hard to imagine someone having to "crack a dictionary" (do you mean 'Google it?') for either word!
