As I indicated over a month ago ago, we now have proof positive that Trump tore down the East Wing of the White House before even having a conceptual plan of the replacement. The design keeps changing, the program keeps getting bigger, and it keeps becoming even more hideous. #followthegrift

I'm trying to understand why Democrats have been losing support among working class voters. What could it be? Why? What possible reason?

The New York Fed is reporting that students majoring in Physics, Computer Science, and Information Systems are among the LEAST likely to easily find employment after college. Societal pressure to pursue STEM studies didn't anticipate impacts of AI on the job market.

The conclave of cardinals has begun meeting in the Sistine Chapel to select a new pope. Will they get right to the point? Here's a detail from "The Circumcision of Moses' Son," a monumental fresco by Pietro Perugino on the chapel's south wall.

Disgusting, yes, but it's easy to see why Trump wants to play dress-up as the Pope. Consider St. Peter's branding for example: its inscription translates as "In honor of the Prince of the Apostles; Paul V Borghese, Roman Pontifex Maximus, in the year 1612, the seventh year of his pontificate."

Have you ever seen polls like the Canadian race for Prime Minister? Something yuge must have happen in January.

Trump finally had a positive impact on world affairs! The Liberal Party could never have risen from the dead so quickly without Trump's intrusion into Canadian politics.

Going through some growing pains now, but everything will be great once we get these low-paying jobs back in America!

The US Treasury market is the deepest, most liquid market in the world. A HUGE 2-day move like this is EXTREMELY rare and very scary. Since Bessent has been justifying the market crash and increased recession risk as necessary evils to get a lower 10-year rate, it must be particularly scary to him.

Sign of the times: JP Morgan's latest wealth management newsletter is extensively redacted in fear of Trump reprisals. Think about that: THE WORLD'S LARGEST BANK IS AFRAID TO SUGGEST THAT DESTROYING THE RULE OF LAW ADVERSELY AFFECTS THE BUSINESS CLIMATE.

Fear eats the soul (and the pocketbook).

Big news! Trump says Bibi not welcome in the US!

In his own words, "If you support terrorism, including the slaughtering of innocent men, women, and children, your presence is contrary to our national and foreign policy interests, and you are not welcome here."

Starship's “rapid unscheduled disassembly." Nothing is safe from the new regime, not even the English language.

Is there a bottom for Republicans? Is it possible that Murkowski will stop being a "good German"? Is that too much to hope for?
March 4, 2025 at 6:14 PM
It's surely not coincidence that we have a President subverting constitutional law, ending our commitment to protecting liberal democracy, and working with his Nazi-saluting henchman Musk to purge women and people of color from leadership positions at exactly the time all WW II survivors have died.

My grandfather served on the Republican National Committee. He was a personal friend of Wendell Willkie, Robert Taft and Dwight Eisenhower.

But he was a patriot, too. He lost a lung in WW I and helped organize ordnance production in WW II. He would be disgusted and sickened by MAGA treachery.

DEI purge is simply an excuse to limit war-fighting leadership to white men.
