A symbolic triumph, maybe, but I'm thankful to Cory Booker for it. I hope it trampled Thurmond's ghost down just a little (cause I know that heaux been floatin')
dismissed class early so I wouldn't miss Booker breaking Thurmond's record in real time. (As a person who grew up in and whose family is from SC, this one's personal for me. Thurmond was in office when my grandparents were in college AND when my ass was in college)
