Tonight's cocktail, because I finally got a bottle of Italicus:

Me, Myself, and I

1 oz Mezcal
1 oz Amaro Montenegro
1 oz Italicus

Stirred, poured over ice cubes, and garnished with blood orange peel (which I happened to have at hand)

Sounds a bit odd perhaps, but works!

For tonight's cocktail, I was having a Fernet feeling and thus thinking of a Toronto, but ended up making a San Francisco Treat. The ingredients are in the picture - equal parts! Flamed an orange peel on top.

After a hearty Christmas meal, a good digestif is necessary. Went with a Bijou:

2.5 cl London Dry gin
3 cl sweet vermouth
1.5 cl green Chartreuse
1-2 dashes of orange bitters

Expressed & discarded a lemon peel, garnished with a Maraschino cherry.

Delicious! Merry Christmas all!

1.5 oz cognac (Hennessy VS)
1.5 oz sweet vermouth (Cocchi Torino)
0.25 oz Cointreau
1 dash each Angostura & orange bitters

Garnished with a Maraschino cherry

Just a little nightcap for tonight's cocktail. Amaro Caldo - simply pour some hot water on Amaro of your choice, garnish with a rough lemon twist or not, perhaps add a bit of honey or not. This time I went with Cynar, but Averna is my usual go-to. Simple, cozy, warm - maybe demure, as they say 🙏

New toy! Got myself an early Christmas present, a Tokai Jazz bass, made in Japan! Can't wait to take her on a ride tomorrow 😎

Friday night cocktail time! Finally managed to get a bottle of Cynar, and proceeded to make Too Soon as my first Cynar cocktail. Invented by Sam Ross, it is described on pg. 151 of the Sasha Petraske book. Pretty good!
