Nuke engineer. Football, Baseball, Video games. Jerry Jones should sell. #NFL #Cowboys #Braves
It’s been happening over a couple years but his lowlights of no energy are becoming a staple. Sad to see a legend losing his spark.

Correction:

This is the fourth time. Frank Ryan scored a TD from a pass that was then lateraled to him before reaching the end zone.

To close the loop, I found this from Reddit. So the four are Marcus Mariota, Brad Johnson, Frank Ryan, and Josh Allen. The two former from catching batted passes (credited with a reception) and the two latter from laterals (no reception credited).

Think it may just be the three. Kyler Murray has 0 career receiving TD per football reference. Very interesting stat nonetheless.

Who was the other besides mariota and brad Johnson. And how did you find this? I was having trouble finding info.

It has always been the case that a lateral counts as a receiving TD for whoever scores the TD along with a passing TD to the QB. No reason this should be changed.

It was kinda funny by the end. He had obviously destroyed his mental and was playing hero ball at the end. It’s rare to have that many chances to redeem yourself.

The nfc west is on life support.

I think that’s an interesting question. I used to think yes, Shohei Ohtani’s season this year made me see it different though. He was best SP on the angels and best hitter (Trout injured), after TJ he elevated offensively when not pitching. So… idk, for sure is a lot of nuance around it.

I truthfully did misread it… but I don’t think he’s mid at either. That wasn’t the point I was making. He could play in the league at either position. I just think two way doesn’t really matter for something like the heisman/MVP unless you are the BEST at one of the positions.

Intangibles do matter, more so for CB than WR. But intangibles are difficult to defend if they are the crux of your argument. Stats do matter, especially with awards.

But I think a lot of people do give him extra grace on defense because stats don’t always capture a CB’s performance 1:1.

Similar to the Davonte Adams tackle this year. Love to see these guys hustle to make the play.

Being a two way by itself adds nothing to the conversation… kid is a great athlete and has a lot of utility to make him an early draft pick, but he isn’t the best at either position he plays. For the quality of teams Colorado has played, his stats should be significantly better on both sides.
