That's a wrap on the #lalege special session, where lawmakers pushed back the 2026 partisan primary elections in anticipation of a Supreme Court ruling in the Callais case, and worked to ensure that SNAP benefits get paid during the shutdown.

The Louisiana House just voted 97-0 for a resolution urging the state health department to pay November SNAP benefits using state resources while federal payments are on hold during the shutdown. Good. Feeding hungry kids should never be a partisan issue. #lalege
