Today I learned that the first depiction of “Uncle Sam” appeared during the War of 1812. He was depicted as a bumbling idiot who could not manage the government or the war. He was “Uncle Sam” and his followers were the “Patronizers of the Idiot.” Sounds like Trump and MAGA! Ain’t history fun?

I strongly recommend THE GREAT EXPERIMENT by Yascha Mounk. It is a quick read and offers brilliant insight regarding the current crisis democracies are experiencing around the world.
