Completely understandable. He also used “foreign country” for outside US. I quickly checked if the Jays/Expos ever started and ended their season in the foreign US, which they have. Perhaps he meant to add the qualifier “US-based team,” but I think he meant the MLB season, which is more interesting.

Ya, he messed that up. Not the first team to do so. It’s the first time the MLB’s opening game and final game is outside the US. The Dodgers’ game in Japan was the first of the league‘s season.
