Behold! Mister Nice Guy! A superhero/villain character I have yet to do anything with.

(Not that you couldn't tell but I obviously didn't draw this 😂)

Can't remember if I've done this yet.

Can't remember if I have done this one yet, but why the Hell not?

Why not? Lots of Pokemon out there after all.

5) Reptile from Mortal Kombat

Lizard man owns, for he is both Lizard and Man.

4) Ragnar McRyan, Dragon Quest IV

I friggin' love Ragnar. He's a town guard looking for where missing children wound up. When he discovers that the missing children are only a small part of a much larger plan, his logic is:

1) Ragnar save children.
2) Big evil endanger children.
3) Not done yet

3) Knuckles the Echidna

I'm not joking when I say that Knuckles had a HUGE impact on my self-image as a kid. He remains one of my favorite characters in any video game to this day, and is typically my first choice for Sonic games (unless Mighty is around, but that's another conversation).

2) Precis F. Neumann
Sometimes our quirks are the best thing to bring to the table. And SOMETIMES those quirks include building giant robot fists.

1) Partitio Yellowil, from Octopath Traveler 2. A merchant who has seen boom and bust, and who wants to do what he can to spread prosperity to the entire world. A beacon of hope in a world mired in darkness.

Sure, why not?

STOP!☝️
You have reached the INDIE GAME checkpoint: You are now legally obligated to share your favorite indie game!

While there are several I could've chosen, the one I went with is Tunic. Exploration, intense combat, obscure puzzles that people are STILL exploring? Sign me up!

6) 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim

Star's been introducing me to the world of Vanillaware games, and this one by far is my favorite. There's little I can say that wouldn't be a spoiler beyond, "You're a bunch of ordinary teenagers with giant robots fighting Godzillas." But every turn is a left one.

5) Octopath Traveler 2

The Octopath series has rapidly become one of my favorite franchises of all times, with Octopath 2 being one of my favorite games of all time. The weaving of these eight stories together is emotional, funny, and thought provoking. Also, an amazing soundtrack.

4) Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver

It's hard for me to pick a favorite Pokemon game, as every version offers something unique. However, for some reason the Johto region is the one that I feel nostalgic for, and the remakes are some of the ones I go back to the most.

3) Star Ocean: The Second Story

While technically not the first JRPG I played, it was one of the earlier ones I experienced, and was the first really big one I played. It cemented my love for the genre, and remains a sentimental favorite. And the remake is phenomenal.

2) Sonic and Knuckles

As the youngest cousin, and the kid on my block who didn't have a gaming system, I was used to getting last pick on characters when playing, being the sidekick or damsel. Knuckles taught me you don't have to be the main character to be a hero in your own right.

1) Myst (every version)

A surprising amount of my taste in gaming is informed by this game. I first played it when I was about seven, and it was definitely one of the things to introduce me to the idea of environmental storytelling, and the idea of "Show, don't tell".

I think I'll take a page out of @sunevial.bsky.social 's book, why not.
