Happily married middle-aged gay guy. 31-year survivor of HIV. Looking for friendly conversation. Star Trek, Dr Who, LOTR, RenFest enthusiast. Unmedicated ADHD. My ferrets are my kids. The holiday tree stays up.
I am enjoying this updated production of “Cabaret” a lot less than I thought I would.

Crap. I have no idea how to verify myself on Bluesky. I’m going to need someone to - slowly - talk me through that. Do I need a domain name? Do I need a web presence? I’m old and baffled.

Sony reaction to the economic news is buying ninety dollars worth of spices at Penzy/a.com before tariffs hit. I plan on using the Madagascar vanilla extract as barter for lodging in the coming dystopia.

I haven’t been posting lately. Been too sad. My beautiful loving guy Ricky Ferret has been diagnosed with lymphoma, and the outlook is grim. Started prednisolone therapy for his comfort. Staying up late to make sure he’s ok. He was my touchstone when Mom died, and I wish, More than anything.

I was wondering what “Obeying in advance” looked like. Now I see posts where people are telling others to swerve away from “identity politics” and stick to “bread and butter” issues.

As someone in the crosshairs due to my my identity, that seems to fit the definition of “obeying in advance,”

Not buying anything today. It’s a protest I can get behind, mostly because I’m poor.

In an absurd manner of studying for the test, I have refrained from overindulgence for a few weeks. Now that my blood and its transgressions are safely in a series of tubes, I intend to consider now through Fat Tuesday to be my cheat week.

Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Welcoming a very nice weekend with my best friend and perpetual valentine.

People keep taking about these uncertain times but I’m getting way less uncertain

I had two cups of fully caffeinated coffee this morning so I apologize to all the people at Kroger I chatted up today.

Changing up my HIV regimen for the first time in eight years and I totally forgot about how nasty the initial side effects were going to be.

Hey I learned hashtags today! I was never on Xitter so I just didn’t bother. Wish I could go back and tag my pet photos! #new #bluesky

We’re having Chicken Francese for dinner tonight, or as I like to call it, “mother hen drowned in her own children.” #cooking #dinner

Oof, Star Trek: Section 31 was awful. Just a waste of all the talents and names. #startrek

I am not giving up my joy willingly.

Weather this cold should have a sound effect.

I always feel bad about putting my finger on Ricky Ferret’s sleeping blep.

Mornings as cold as this a fur-lined gimp mask sounds like a practical suggestion

Bosco Ferret loves me deeply. He also wants to destroy the puppy pads in the cage. I feel this dichotomy as I implore him to be his better self. Chris is on standby with the water pistol.

It looks like the weather has claimed our beautiful holiday tree. We’ve had it out and shining since 2018, can’t afford to replace. It gave me great joy to look at it every day, and say goodnight to it every night.

It’s only a little darkness, but it makes me sad.

Chris got me up early to look at the snow. I don’t remember having this kind of snow in years. It’s so quiet. It’s like a movie set.
