Either way, the fact that they keep changing if and how you can turn the notifications off really is just yet another reason for Android and Apple to enforce the separation...

Huh, I swear I've gotten the actual core uber notifications with those all off? All the listed options are just various forms of marketing. Though I could very much believe I'm wrong there / they've changed it one way or the other in a recent version 🤷

I just don't understand how everyone at Uber aren't similarly being driven crazy by all the notifications? Do they just not use the app? Do the different teams not coordinate when they send out push notifications? Is this not happening for people in SF?

This was driving me up the wall, I was getting several a day at one point! Last week I cracked and went digging and eventually found some options deep in Account > Settings > Communication > Push Notifications, which seem to have done the trick. If they come back I'm just going to give up on Uber
