years ago I was writing a sci-fi book and in a quiet scene i thought they'd put on music. i thought they'd still listen to music from the 60s thru a box in the corner, he'd type in Beatles+Hendrix+Miles Davis and something would play. sadly we are here and i didn't finish writing that book

it also just gives the impression they don't value the book enough to give it the artwork it deserves.
there's a whole art to cover design, giving enough visual clues so the reader has the proper understanding of what to expect. then the book fulfills that expectation. this part is well overlooked
