Tuoreen kyselytutkimuksen mukaan suurin osa susialueilla asuvista ei koe susia uhkana eikä suomalaisten susipelko ole lisääntynyt, vaikka susien määrä on kasvanut. Ilahduttavaa on myös se, että uhanalaisen suden suojelun kannatus on kasvanut!

Luonnonvarakeskuksen selvityksen mukaan suomalaisten susipelko ei ole kasvanut samassa tahdissa kuin susien määrä. Useampi koiraansa vapaana pitävä kuitenkin pitää sutta riskinä.
