I had a family member who, after losing his spouse, was miserable but also refused to make any changes to accommodate to the new situation, instead insisting over and over again that there must be some woman who would want to move in and take care of him for free. Anyway.

I always tell people that if you wanna listen to my fake tech podcast you gotta start at the beginning due to the incredibly dense lore built up over 5+ years, but if you want a disorienting sample of the show I think this week’s episode is a good taste. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

I know this can’t be the end of our activism, I know there’s still a lot of work to do, but seeing Emperor Palpatine reduced to this, to common street trash? Not gonna lie, it feels good

It’s one of the great tragedies of history that Johnny Paycheck never put out a Halloween album.

GOP: Now it’s the Department of WAR! And by war we mean war on American citizens! Don’t like it? Too bad because there might not be any more elections!!

DEMS: Send us $5 to sign a card to “Draft Dodger Donnie” wishing him a happy “bone spurs anniversary” 🤣

Trump should obviously be impeached for this but so should anyone who responds like this.
Take off that Cavalry hat, you draft dodger.

You didn’t earn the right to wear it.

Stolen valor at its worst.

This comes highly recommended, but you need to start from the beggining.

Good to know that when Elon said we need to draw in the best and brightest from other countries he just meant the ones who will work for him for cheap.
Hundreds of international students have just received an email telling them their visas have been revoked.

The ‘justification’ is campus activism or social media posts.

I started a Substack! As you may know, I'm a record collector with a weekly vinyl radio show and I wanted to try using Substack to share my shows with people, along with some additional writing. Listen to the show or just learn about some cool new songs every week! open.substack.com/pub/vinylody...

RIP to David Lynch. It's hard to think of an artist who has meant more to me in this recent season of my life. I released a song yesterday dedicated to him and that showcases some of how his work has affected my thinking and life. <3 jessebrenneman.bandcamp.com/track/living...

I think this is in part because to be a faithful Democratic Party supporter is to believe in compromise as a virtue, since the Party is always compromising on its supposed values. If many liberal voters “took their own side” they’d be at odds with the party constantly (which would be good!)
this urge to launder rfk jr. as “just a guy who is right about a few things” is such a perfect example of how liberals are people who won’t take their own side in a fight

I wasn’t able to get an album finished this year, but the stuff I was able to work on is some of my favorite yet— including this song, which is maybe the most excited I’ve been about a recording ever. I had to share a version before the year was out. jessebrenneman.bandcamp.com/track/girl-l...
