Agenda-setting theory remains highly relevant. Gatekeepers such as influencers, editors, and algorithms determine which stories trend and gain attention online. While my newsfeed may be curated to reflect my interests, this can limit my exposure to other topics. #UTcommtheory

I respond best to participatory decision-making. In any organization, it's important to promote a sense of unity or family. One of the easiest ways to help everyone feel like they are part of that family is to include everyone in discussions when significant changes are on the horizon. #UTcommtheory

I chose option #1. My girlfriend texted me, but I didn't respond. Ten minutes later, she called to ask why I had read her message without replying. This situation shows that our relationship has reached a point where a response is expected within ten minutes of reading a message. #UTcommtheory

I think the explanation criteria are one of the most important. Not only do you have to be able to focus on just the crucial data, but also be able to communicate the data in an effective and understandable way. #UTcommtheory

I find the rhetorical tradition the most appealing. I think it's amazing how some people can give speeches and use words to motivate and persuade millions of individuals. I personally love a good public speaker. #UTcommtheory
