Ok gotcha.

I forgot about the draft picks/ international money part.

If I’ve interpreted your post correctly this offseason it sounds like you’d go with Bregman over Bichette.

What gives Bregman the edge?

Is it the question marks over Bo’s defense?

What’s your read on the Tatum situation?

Do you think he comes back in any meaningful way this year?
December 8, 2025 at 1:49 PM
Do you think the Sox see him as an extension candidate if he clicks?

Or is 2 years of him being your no.4 something they see as a fine outcome here too.

Yeah that seemed like an odd way to restart play.

But definitely a good call to overturn the handball.

Would moving Niang alone achieve anything meaningful for the Celtics financially?

Or would it need to be done in conjunction with moving other guys in separate deals for it to really matter?

If you were in charge of the Celtics what would your priorities be right now?

Move Simons? Or Hauser? Or Derrick/Jaylen?

Would you want to do those things now or would waiting be beneficial?

I’m just trying to get a feel for what options they are likely considering the most right now.

I remember watching him last preseason and wondering how I’d never heard of him
July 1, 2025 at 8:20 PM
Dumars was calling Daryl incessantly but he was too busy sorting musical stuff
June 26, 2025 at 1:51 AM
They have a reliable franchise cornerstone who plays every game though, right?
June 26, 2025 at 1:44 AM
Brad has to find a way to trade with Dumars
June 26, 2025 at 1:36 AM
And the ESPN host saying “let’s see who the Blazers select” after being told 20 seconds ago that the Grizzlies just traded up for the pick
June 26, 2025 at 1:30 AM
It’s all guesswork at this point but do you think they go tear down mode (trading White and/or Jaylen)?

Or does it make sense to trim off a few of the lesser guys and play out next year around White, Pritch, Brown, Simons etc?
June 25, 2025 at 12:33 AM
Do you think he’ll eventually settle in as a solid regular at some point or do you think there’s still a reasonable path to 3-time all star?
June 19, 2025 at 8:57 PM
Isn’t letting Bogaerts walk actually one of their smartest moves during that time?
June 16, 2025 at 2:39 AM
But what he’s shown so far is enough to at least dream on, right?
May 30, 2025 at 1:30 AM
What’s your excitement level with Tolle so far?

Has he done anything to enhance or lower your opinion on him since the draft?
May 29, 2025 at 11:55 PM
Do you think they can trade Jaylen for a Gobert/KD/Bridges type of haul at some stage?

Or is the financial and trading restrictions going to be too prohibitive to get a bunch of stuff back for him?
May 19, 2025 at 12:27 AM
Very useful to get rundown of you general thoughts here.

When you say that it’s more likely than not that the Jays have played their last game together - do you think a Jaylen trade is most likely to come this summer or is in-season/next offseason just as likely to you?
May 19, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Yeah that sounds totally reasonable to me. It isn’t hard at all to win 20 games no matter where you are as a franchise.
May 13, 2025 at 11:29 PM
The difference b/w an 18-win team that does a full tank and a 30-win team that does a later tank isn’t that big.

The gap between winning 48 games and 60 games is a lot harder to bridge than the gap from 18 to 30 or 30 to 42.

No need to feel sorry for one team over the other. You CHOOSE to win 18.
May 13, 2025 at 11:04 PM
Are you going to do any writing about the Celtics and what they might do going forward for this offseason and beyond?
May 13, 2025 at 7:46 PM
But how far do they go is what I’m wondering.

Like, Jrue and KP being moved on seems likely. But if you’re doing that then are you better off cashing in on Brown in the right deal too and really closing the book on this era outside of Tatum?
May 13, 2025 at 11:32 AM
Any chance this triggers a bolder path for the FO as big decisions loom.

They can fully shift attention to the ‘27 season and beyond with Tatum (hopefully) back firing by then. Build a new core to peak in ‘27-30 range.

Listen to offers on basically everyone else this summer or is that too extreme?
May 13, 2025 at 11:22 AM
Feels like this season is about hovering around .500 when you’re not quite clicking and then ripping off a few 8-2 type of stretches.

Just avoid cratering when you’re cold and then the hot runs should carry you to the playoffs.
