The groomers are and have long been the GOP and religious institutions.
Meiselas: Those Republicans were sure ready to cover up child sex trafficking. They were rushing to cover it up. They were blaming the media for it. And one of the things Trump did during this awful transition was basically expose the entire Republican Party as being a pro-sex trafficking party.

Trans are a politically "safe" issue for the maga to attack. 1% won't hurt them politically and it keeps the maga cult focus off of issues that will ruin their lives.
