When you feel powerless against AI slop, the best remedy is to read a well-crafted dark-humor essay on an important topic and smile.

Abhishaike makes you smile while writing about biology.

If you're not active, you're sick. You just don't know it yet.

If you don’t move regularly, your metabolism is already compromised. You may feel fine, but under the surface, the foundations of long-term health are deteriorating.

We’ve built a world of moral theatre, full of gestures, empty of gravity.

We’ve replaced virtue with visibility.

Once we stopped worrying about survival, we started worrying about significance.

We seek meaning where it’s easiest to display it: online, in public

A metaphor for everything: focus on fundamentals, repeat, and let time compound the results.

For fitness: lift heavy 3–4 times a week, sleep 8 hours, eat real food with enough protein. No supplements. Progressive overload, consistency, and patience.

What I like about Kobo Plus (the Kindle Unlimited equivalent):

Recently, I started using Kobo for reading, and I've come to appreciate this feature a lot.

They don't show books that aren't available under the Plus subscription (Kindle does).

They don’t "trick" you into buying.

I like it.

> who is the key to the future of your company, and what are you doing to unleash his or her potential?
> You must deploy talent as successfully as you deploy capital.

Started reading this book. Like the ideas.

Have you read this? What are your views?

What are the advantages & disadvantages of #svelte?

There are many advantages. Only one disadvantage: no job market or super low.

Now with all agentic tools (figma, lovable) generating react / nextjs based code, demand is going to be more for them, not for svelte.

If you are using Dropbox with n8n, use OAuth rather than just with access token.

Access tokens expire quickly. It is ok to use that for quick checks but for long running workflows, use OAuth.

Firefox has this multi account containers feature. This is the only reason I still use Firefox.

Any other browsers have this feature?

How to append a rss feed item to a dropbox file using n8n

Dropbox doesn't offer an append API. So you've to download the file, read the file in javascript and then upload the file.

Used claude to write / debug code. Tested it. Let me see if this works.

Pollution tends to remain at this level for the rest of the year due to trapped air between the mountains and people continuing to set off fireworks for festivities and weddings.

Given these, how can we shield the family from pollution's effects? And can we eliminate those inhaled pollutants?

Deployed n8n on Railway (railway.com/)

Setup a bluesky feed to dropbox workflow.

Let me see if this works ok.

(Pipedream etc gives "append file" option. In n8n there is only "upload file")

Trying out Kobo ios app. Subscribed to their Kobo Plus (equivalent to Kindle Unlimited).

One big difference I already see: I can't export highlights from all books.

If you read a book with KU subscription, you can export highlights. Doesn't seem to be the case in Kobo.

When you make everything API / MCP integration options are unbelievable.

I would've never thought of this integration.

Now that I've read this is something that has been hiding in plain sight.

There's never been a better time to solve problems - Anthropic.

When the hype fades, real use cases emerge. This has been true for every tech cycle and is now true for GenAI.

Watch this ad by Anthropic. If you've been using GenAI tools as a thought partner, give yourself a pat on the back.

Joy of learning something new - now it is making an LED glow for the first time using a circuit on breadboard!

I'm teaching with "Quad Store Electronics Circuit" (amzn.to/4nwuHdQ).

The instruction manual is clear and my younger son created his first circuit and he is so happy (& hooked).
