Christian; UMC pastor; husband/dad; Politics/sports/sci-fi/spreadsheets. An open-minded curmudgeon.
I concur with this. Even many more-conservative seminaries would require some level of at least superficial engagement with affirming perspectives.

Here’s one on immigrants & welfare use, since that gets tossed around, too.

Immigrants Used Less Welfare than Native-Born Americans in 2022
Rather than reaching toward expensive mass deportations as a solution to fiscal issues, the more free-market, libertarian, and fiscally responsible solution is to build a higher wall around the welfar...

As a pastor, I appreciate his humility & desire to represent the best of himself. As a sports fan, I 💯 expect Raiders to flip the bird to whoever & never apologize. If dude wants to be a professional, there are 31 other rosters he can try to make. 🤣

Methodology: Win% multiplied by Strength of Schedule.

Win%—only counts games against FBS teams. Includes a .25 game bonus for a Top 25 win, but a .25 game deduction for a loss to a bottom-half FBS team.

SoS: 2/3 of opponents’ combined record plus 1/3 of opponents’ opponents’ record.

The biggest wild card is if UT beats A&M. If UT loses to A&M, it’s easy: UT stays out, they wouldn’t have 4 losses if they had beaten Florida. But if UT beats A&M, that will be a challenging decision for the committee, & it might break my spreadsheet.

I agree with CFP on the top 5. CFP & I also have Ole Miss, Oklahoma, & Alabama in the playoffs.

However, I have BYU, USC, N TX, & GA Tech in. CFP has OR, ND, Miami, & Tulane instead. 3 of those will be resolved on the field. But CFP will let their bias shine through by letting Notre Dame in.
