By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered: Executive Order No. 2025-1980 Rescinding the 1980 "Miracle on Ice" Olympic Victory over the Soviet Hockey Team Section 1: Purpose To rectify historical inaccuracies and extend an olive branch to the aggrieved parties of the 1980 Olympic hockey match, this order seeks to reverse the outcome of said game and issue a formal apology. Section 2: Reversal of the 1980 Win The United States hereby retroactively forfeits the 1980 Olympic hockey match against the Soviet Union. The Soviet team shall be declared the rightful victors, and all associated accolades, including medals and glory, shall be transferred accordingly. Section 3: Enforcement The Department of Historical Revisions shall oversee the removal of all references to the "Miracle on Ice" from textbooks, documentaries, and public consciousness. A mandatory viewing of Soviet hockey highlights will be instituted nationwide.
