also I'm not in any position to go to protests whenever I like, and I don't have money to donate. if I could I would, but I'm just a kid in a deep red state trying to think as positively I can about my future
May 15, 2025 at 3:45 AM
never said there was no chance, just a very slim one. Just because I align with a certain party doesn't mean I support every goddamn thing they do. you've once again misconstrued what I've iterated time and time again. I don't understand why you can't try to see it how I do, since I did that for you
May 15, 2025 at 3:43 AM
also please don't conflate supporting one dem with being a zionist!! as I've stated, what Israel is doing is abhorrent and needs to be stopped as soon as possible. unfortunately, our two-party system doesn't agree. hate to be the bearer of bad news, but nowadays you have to pick a side.
May 15, 2025 at 1:00 AM
I see where you're coming from! while it'd be absolutely amazing to have a dem who's not a zionist, we live in the very awful reality where that's just so extremely rare. they're also not vocal enough if they do exist, which makes it hard for them to win a primary. 3rd parties are the most vocal.
May 15, 2025 at 12:59 AM
being a single issue voter isn't gonna get things to change, especially an issue this big that you KNOW both MAJOR parties agree on. why waste your vote on Jill Stein or whoever else when you can get domestic change from an otherwise fine Democrat?
May 15, 2025 at 12:39 AM
starting to think you're not even fully reading what I'm saying 😭
May 15, 2025 at 12:37 AM
I would rather vote for someone who can drastically change things HERE where I LIVE and actually has a chance of WINNING rather than a party that only shows up every 4 years to make niche talking points to angry people that has a ZERO percent chance of winning.
May 15, 2025 at 12:35 AM
then what does it mean? enlighten me, please!!
May 15, 2025 at 12:34 AM
rather than tell me to get a grip, you should clarify exactly what it is you're arguing!! so far I don't believe anything you've said, and quite frankly I think you're hating just to hate atp, which is sad
May 15, 2025 at 12:33 AM
watering down my argument again, sigh 😔
May 15, 2025 at 12:30 AM
EVERYONE wants it tho so like...it kind of is??? your argument is that he hasn't done anything when, recently, he hasn't been given the fucking chance
May 15, 2025 at 12:30 AM
look, even if he *is* a zionist (which I HIGHLY disagree with), voting third party pro-palestine isn't the way to go. I highly condemn Israel and their genocide on Palestinians, but we can't be single issue voters. elections have nuance, and if you truly think your third party will win, they won't.
May 15, 2025 at 12:29 AM
if you've ever listened to him debate you'll know how articulate and sincere he is with each word he says. if he says he'll support something then he will. if he says he won't support something then he won't. simple as that.
May 15, 2025 at 12:23 AM
this may sound naive in your eyes, but godforbid someone have a little hope for what we have coming in the near future
May 14, 2025 at 11:32 PM
also he is the type to fight for what he *actually* believes in, so if he *does* get "donors", I think he'll subvert them and push his own, very progressive agenda.
May 14, 2025 at 11:31 PM
I highly doubt he'll be the type to take "donors" from corporations or whoever you think is donating him money. not to say he's perfect, but i think he'll take money from regular people and close friends rather than big tech or pharma or whatever for his campaign
May 14, 2025 at 11:30 PM
you're watering down my argument. yes you can point to how he was as a mayor, but to think or imply he hasn't/can't change is what's absurd. it's baffling to me that even here people find a way to misconstrue what is being said
May 14, 2025 at 11:27 PM
evaluate him as a politician now is just absurd, in my opinion. people make mistakes and people change. he'd be a strong candidate for President, especially with how the Trump term has gone (and likely will continue to go).
May 14, 2025 at 10:33 PM
you've still yet to convince me that you're right, so until that happens I'll remain my stance, which is that Pete was a good mayor (maybe not the best, but certainly not the worst) and that it's been YEARS since then and he's had LOTS more political experience as well. using his time as mayor to-
May 14, 2025 at 10:33 PM
I'll admit the sample size is small! and the margin of error is definitely worth pointing out, but you still can't toss out what seems like a majority of his people siding with him. especially the non-whites, since they tend to be closer knit in smaller towns such as South Bend.
May 14, 2025 at 10:30 PM
it looks like you've lost the argument and don't know how to come back! that's fine and all, but you don't have to be a sourpuss about it
May 14, 2025 at 10:25 PM
ykw I'll take the L on that one! but can you prove my claim wrong? I gave you a source buddy 😁
May 14, 2025 at 10:23 PM
I'm just trying to gauge where you're coming from, because everything I've looked up says that most residents approved of his administration, especially the non-white ones!
May 14, 2025 at 10:22 PM
