The more Dean is mad at Cas whenever they fight, the more it shows how much he cares about him. Clearly it wasn't just because Cas ignored them but because he ignored HIM, HE was the one calling Cas non-stop HE was the one praying to Cas HE was the one worrying because Cas silent was weird
