It’s not like it’s hard to figure out either. Person supports group saying they’ll make life better. Life still sucks. Person switches support to other group. Fault is a whole different can of worms, but the voting shifts aren’t entirely illogical.

It’s so nice seeing someone else with this position. The internet is just a massive haterade fest and I just want to enjoy my game. There are absolutely valid criticism of wizards but it’s just hate hate hate all the time.

Died to ravager affinity. Rough day, I should have gone to sleep earlier last night. Need to remember time zone differences when planning sleep because I crashed way earlier than I should have today.

4-3. My energy crashed out and now I’m playing super sloppy. Lost to broodacale which should be great for me. Is what it is.

4-2. Lost to Jeskai to just some pretty middling draws. Only one overlord that they marched.

4-1s will continue until morale improves. Against goryos took the greediest line game 3. Seize to see riddler, ephem consign, atraxa land. I took atraxa because my hand was teferi emperor overlord. They countered teferi then I slammed emp and used atraxa.

3-1. I think I was the boogeyman my opponent thinks is under the bed waiting to eat him. He was on furnace scamp/tifa pump akin to infect. Path is just insane.

Lost round 3 to energy. I played a teferi with no blue game 1 and didn’t notice until their turn. The fix was warning and keep playing and I wasn’t about that so I scooped. Smashed game 2 then game 3 they had a beautiful curve to wreck my hand. Didn’t have enough life to fetch wrath turn 4.

2-0 vs belcher. Teferi is a house and wisp enchanter does work. They had a 1 lander with double bloom game 1 and I killed all of them. Game 2 they had a hand full of counters and I go a teferi in and it was over.

The matchup gods wanted to taunt me. Paired me against a mono blue tron player who knocked me out of a single elim event round 1 in Houston. He was on 4 wan but never saw them. Got both games 1 and 2. I am specifically teched trying to dodge Tron.

This kind of says to me they’re actually splitting the ban windows for each format up finally. Instead of needing 1 window for everything. That is a huge improvement.

The modern friendly league was brought back a few years ago and has been doing fine from what I understand. The main thing I wonder with entries is how many people run out of points/tix and just stop when they might play more.

I’ve been telling daybreak for years they should slash cube entry on MTGO too. I dont think most cube players hugely care about huge prizing or anything. Could you get more than 10x the entries at 1/10 the entry? I think so.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot too and other than panels like pauper has I think the single largest impact they could have would be breaking the b&r announcements apart by format. Their biggest issue has been scheduling because they’re trying to dodge too many things.

Thing is pre all the changes to ban philosophy there was a new announcement every 3 months or so. Still scheduled, far more consistent and not letting it languish like this for so long.
