If you're not mad, you're not paying attention. And if you don't care, do you even have a heart?
Ew! Ugh, thanks

Parts of her team work in LOSS Prevention - actually, literally providing support to reduce suicides. And her team is in jeopardy because their funding just froze.

She just said "prevention is a luxury" and I feel like crying. 2/2

Tbh, idk because I'm doing this to save Mary from having to copy and paste spreadsheets. I want to make Asher's job easier by automatically sending this notice. How am I supposed to quantifying the quality of work that happens when you give your team breathing room?

This is honestly one of the most difficult things for me as developer who now has to make a resume and market myself. I keep getting told that I need to break my projects down into concrete numbers. How many labor hours did I save, how does that translate into dollars for the organization?

their organization. These company heads are saying, "You don't get to have a seat at the table. You don't get to make decisions. You only get to service us. We will continue to make decisions that keep you hungry and low, and you get nothing." This is exploitation. 4/4 #Boycott

the reduced revenue. She makes a fair point. But it also occurs to me that when companies say they'll roll back their DEI initiatives, they're not saying they won't hire people of the global majority (black, brown, indigenous, etc...). They're saying they won't hire them at the highest levels of 3/x

people have called for a boycott of these companies, but she recalls a story about a single mom delivering her groceries and connecting with this woman. Her point seems to be that these companies employ marginalized people and boycotting them will cause the companies to possibly fire them due to 2/x
