Now that RAM is prohibitively expensive maybe we'll see less bloatware 🤞

Prediction markets went from this niche thing where AI researchers would put skin in the game on predictions to now something that can universally be gamed by insiders to get exit liquidity from people who don't know better. It's only going to make society more corrupt.

Funny how iRobot is almost bankrupt because they failed to adopt lidar tech and stuck with camera tech for the Roombas (I have one from 2020 and the navigation sucks), and there's another company out there touting full self-driving using cameras only... www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/r...
iRobot Is in Trouble, but Roomba Is Already Dead
Here’s what went wrong for the pioneering robotics company behind the once-dominant Roomba.

Kinda wild how early Claude Code is still in terms of adoption

I'm sold. Agentic coding is the future of web application development. There is no going back. Close the editor. Open Claude.

Your job is now to manage, review, corral and improve a relentless junior dev who is working on 6+ PRs in parallel.

Blows my mind that in Miami we have lots of parking garages with automated ticketing but usually there is still a human overseeing/assisting with the machine

"vibe coding" reminds me of the jQuery era of 2010 when you could quickly build a flashy frontend for a web app by just throwing a ton of jQuery plugins at the problem. maintaining that code however was not fun

Finished "Families Like Ours" yesterday. What a sad and gut wrenching show that portrays the heartbreaking reality of legal/illegal immigration in the context of climate change.

Being an elder millennial now has me pondering how the Walmart/Target, Home Depot/Lowe's, Costco/BJs duopolies can exist

Observed another Trump flag come down in my neighborhood. That's 3/6 gone in my immediate vicinity. I don't think the Miami Cuban-Americans are taking it well but there are lots of holdouts I'd you drive around

The darkest place on the Internet is an @acmilan reddit match thread. The purest misery. More hopeless than Man U

Horrible calls from the ref. The VAR made no impact

I tried to give deep seek r1 (32B in ollama) some react code and tests to refactor with pretty explicit instructions. It gave me some total nonsense hallucination. Then I gave the same exact prompt to qwen-2.5-coder 32B and it pretty much nailed it. Idk maybe I'm using it wrong

Skeleton Crew initially looked uninteresting to me in the trailers but I got hooked after the first episode. They were all great. Well done to Disney on a fantastic Star Wars show that had its own identity.

Linux on the desktop is so cooked. The installer is way more sleek now but there is no included driver for Realtek gigabit Ethernet lmao
